Putting Your Wellbeing At The Heart Of What We Do

As our patient, we put your well-being at the heart of everything we do. We were one of the first weight loss clinics in the country to achieve regulation under the government's Care Standards back in 2004. In 2010 we were again one of the first to receive confirmation that we comply with the new Care Quality Commission regulations at all our clinics. You are in safe hands.

Our registration number at Richmond is P05002170 and at Victoria E010000602.

We are active members of the OMA, the organisation which regulates and monitors the private slimming sector, and our doctors regularly attend seminars such as those given by the ASO which conducts research into how people become overweight. This means that they always have the latest information at their fingertips to help you achieve the weight loss you need.

Our Eating Plans Reflect The Cochrane Collaborations Findings

Top Research Group Proves Our Methods Work

This new approach has been endorsed by the latest research from the Cochrane Collaboration, released on 18th July 2007. The research studied 202 patients, some of whom were given a low GI diet while others remained on a standard eating plan. Here are the authors’ key findings:

“The overweight or obese people on the low GI diet lost more weight than those receiving standard diets.

Body mass index and cholesterol decreased significantly more in the low GI group.

In comparing low GI diets to restricted calorie low-fat diets, participants fared as well or better on the low GI diet, even though they could eat as much as desired. Lowering the glycaemic load of the diet appears to be an effective method of promoting weight loss and can be simply incorporated into a person's lifestyle.”
