"Your patients' testimonials made me believe that I could actually achieve what they achieved. So I chose to come to your clinic in Victoria in May 2008 with the belief that I could and would lose the weight I put on while living abroad for 6 years.
Coming back to London in 2007 was a huge shock to my system in all aspects. None of my friends recognised me. Even my uncle didn't recognise me! All my friends looked like models whereas I was an overweight mum. Yes, I blamed the kids then but now I know that it was me who did this to myself.
One day when we were watching our trip to North America on the video I saw myself walking very slowly as if I was 20 years older (Did I mention that I used to run 30 km a week before I had babies and went abroad?), with a huge backside wobbling from side to side. At that moment my daughter said that I had a big bum!
That was it. I had to do something about it but it took me a year to decide what was the best option for me. I read a lot of magazines, books, and searched the net but I was not convinced until I found your clinic on the internet.
When the doctor at the clinic examined me I went through another shock: she told me that I was type 1 obese! She asked me about my eating and exercising habits and discussed my ideal weight which was what it was before kids. She discussed a general eating plan with me and healthy alternatives to carbs and sugar.
I lost nearly 20 kilos since I started in May 2008. My friends and family comment on the "new me" with wonderful adjectives such as "model-like", "slender", "slim" and "lovely figure". Now I am the one who looks better than them. I am full of energy.
I exercise 5 times a week and best of all I went back to running, well, not 30 km a week anymore but enough for me to feel pleasantly exhausted. My relationship with my husband and children is much better now because I feel confident and beautiful again. I changed my wardrobe twice as I went down from dress size 18-20 to 12. It is well worth it! I am worth it! I recommend this programme to anyone looking to lose weight because it gave me real results and determination along the way.
